He was 97.

Mr. PARRY, served with the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Armstrong as a Army motor mechanic on the island Oahu. When the Japanese attacked he was playing football. He recalls looking up in the air and there were hundreds and hundreds of planes. It was more planes than he had ever seen and moments later, he learned where they came from.

Soon my first sergeant came out and he says, “Pearl Harbor is getting bombed, we under attack by the Japanese.” Parry’s commanding officer ordered him to deliver ammunition to the troops, but he took a short detour down to Pearl Harbor. Parry just had to come up and see Pearl Harbor. If I ever get out of this, I’m looking at a piece of history. What Parry saw immediately brought him to tears. “it was a complete mess,” Parry recalled.

“That beautiful fleet … I looked down and I could see this one big battleship … It was the (USS) Arizona. I just sat there and cried.”

On behalf of TGGF and its members, thank you for your service and many sacrifices made to this great nation. Rest in eternal peace Mr. PARRY.

Friend to Tender Touch Ministries

Anthony has been a huge blessing, at a time when my marriage was suffering. And I am truly grateful for the time he took with me in prayer. I became a partner with Tender Touch Ministries because I believe and share in the love and compassion for our homeless brothers and sisters.

Recipient of Donation

I am very grateful that Tender Touch Ministries was there for me in a way most needful. Getting help to heal the deepest hurts, pains and wounds of my heart was really what I needed more than anything. Then later on Tender Touch Ministries helped me with some clothes. Thank you Tender Touch Ministries . . . forever grateful!

Michael R. Lang

Veteran

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to Tender Touch Ministries for helping me when I was in dire need of food and clothing. I am a retired veteran of 22 years and I deal with multiple chronic challenges. That’s why it meant so much when Tender Touch Ministries came to me to give assistance, so I would not have to over exert myself. You guys are a true blessing!
