Garden Grove Chemical Incident Assistance Available

Dear Community Member,

More than 70,000 residents across Garden Grove, Stanton, Westminster, Cypress, Anaheim, and Buena Park were impacted by the recent chemical incident. Although evacuation orders have been lifted, many families and businesses continue to face ongoing challenges as they recover.

To support recovery efforts, Orange County United Way has activated the OC Community Resilience Fund, which provides assistance to eligible households and businesses affected by the incident. Support is available through a coordinated intake and referral process managed by 2-1-1 Orange County.

The OC Community Resilience Fund May Provide Assistance With:

  • Emergency financial assistance
  • Groceries and household essentials
  • Transportation and childcare expenses
  • Prescription and other health-related costs
  • Temporary housing and utility assistance

How to Access Support

2-1-1 Orange County serves as the central access point for screening, eligibility assessment, and connection to available resources through the OC Community Resilience Fund.

Assistance is available to eligible individuals and businesses whose needs are related to the incident. Support is subject to eligibility verification, required documentation, and available funding.

Community-based organizations, nonprofit partners, and service providers are encouraged to share this information with individuals, families, and businesses that may qualify for assistance.

All-Branches Military Ball June 6, 2026

Dear Veterans,

The American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291 would like to formally invite you to attend their upcoming All Branches Military Ball in celebration of America’s 250th Birthday on Saturday, June 6, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

This promises to be an amazing evening honoring veterans and supporters from all branches of military service, including the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Space Force.

Their focused housing panel will examine the most significant barriers facing older veteran households and the innovative approaches being implemented to address them.
